LinkedIn advertising is an enigma wrapped in a riddle for me. One of the good things about it is you can have a laser focus on a certain demographic. You can search for the right people within certain companies or with certain titles and responsibilities.
One pitfall I find with LinkedIn advertising is its price—it starts at two dollars per click, and that is very expensive. You can chew through a lot of money very quickly. Now, if you’re working for a large company and they’re willing to pay for it, I’d suggest you use their nickel to do so.
And as Kersten just mentioned, it’s important to have a clear call to action when you lead people to a certain page. Make sure you’re getting something in exchange right away. It has to be very compelling.
